Healing power of Natural juices
 
We are aware most fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins and minerals.  Also they are used as alternative treatments to detoxify the body, and to assist in the treatment of many ailments.
 
Today, with the growing ranks of people aware of healthy lifestyle, it's helpful to try some fruit recipes for simple homemade detox.  Easy to prepare and definitely benefit all in the family
 
Body cooling - good in hot weather or after a long journey
1 glass - preparation time : 10 mins
Ingredient: 2 cucumbers, 1 lime, dash of salt
Method: Wash cucumber and lime well.  Dice cucumbers.  Pass lime and diced cucumber in juicer. Add a dash of salt in juice and stir well. Serve.  
 
Liver cleansing - this is a good breakfast drink and probably the best liver cleansing tonic .
1 glass - preparation time: 10 mins
Ingredient: 1 carrot, 1/2 beetroot, 1 stick celery, 1 cucumber
Method:  Wash all vegetables.  Peel and dice the carrot and beetroot.  Dice celery and cucumber.  Pass all vegetables through a juicer.  Drink the juice within half an hour.
 
Constipation - apples contain pectin which - together with mineral salts - in the fruit, form an insoluble salt which has strong laxative properties.
1 glass - preparation time: 10 mins
Ingredients: 3 apples, 50gm spinach leaves, 1 small bunch parsley
Method:  wash all ingredients, Dice apples and roughly cut the spinach leaves.  Pass apples, spinach and parsley through a juicer.  Serve.  Repeat this recipe a second or third time at 4 hourly intervals.
 
Kidney cleansing - both asparagus and tomatoes are alkaline.  This juice will detox kidney and will restore blood back to its normal healthy alkaline state.
1 glass - preparation time: 10mins
Ingredients: 6 asparagus spears, 2 tomatoes
Method:  Wash all ingredients.  Dice asparagus and tomatoes.  Pass asparagus and tomatoes through a juicer.  Serve.
